The World Heritage in Tanum

In Tanum there is some of the world’s most spectacular storytellers, the several thousand year old rock carvings. They are so extraordinarily many and well preserved that they are on UNESCO’s list of world heritage sites. Visit Vitlycke Museum and the rock carvings in the surrounding nature – also those who have visited them before always have something new to discover here.

Nordens Ark

Nordens Ark is an exciting experience for the whole family. At the zoo they work hard at protecting endangered animals and during the 3 km long trail through the park you can stop for snack-breaks and some play. Pet the animals in Lantgården and see when the predators are being fed!

Naturum Kosterhavet

The archipelago and Kosterhavet invite you to absolute world-class experiences. Outside of Lagunen we have Sweden’s first marine nationalpark, something to discover both ashore and out at sea. Take part of the pet aquarium, guided tours and beach activities at Naturum, Sydkoster and do not miss out on the snorkling trails!

Gothenburg and Liseberg

Only a 1,5 hour drive away you reach Gothenburg, the cozy yet urban city. A thrilling visit at Liseberg is a must! Gothenburg also offers fantastic shopping with trendy stores for fashion and home decor and when you need a break there is a plethora of cozy restaurants and cafés to choose from.

Bohuslän’s Idyllic Towns

A visit to one of Bohuslän’s idyllic small towns is a cozy break when you wish to get away for a little while. Grebbestad, Fjällbacka, Smögen and Lysekil are just a few of all the wonderful places to explore. These old fishing towns have became popular amongst both celebrities and local residents and they carry fascinating tales about Bohuslän, the old fishing communities and the life at the barren, beautiful coast.

Catch a boat from the North Harbor in Strömstad and get to Furholmen in just a few minutes. It is an idyllic spot and in the summer it is a popular place to go for a swim in the sea. The restaurant attracts many guests and in the winter they have a wonderful Christmas buffé.

Halden and Fredriksten’s Fortress

Only a short drive away you reach Halden and Fredriksten’s Fortress in Norway, a cozy small harbor town well worth a visit. In Halden you can go for a stroll on the deck, have a look in the boutiques and of course visit the fortress. The view of the town is stunning!

Bohusläns Museum

If you are interested of history or want to learn a bit more about Bohuslän, Bohuslän’s Museum in Uddevalla is a must. Listen to the exciting stories about the old fishermen’s life, how rough the workdays at sea were and discover the old tools they used.

Only a hour-long drive away from Lagunen you have Oslo, the capital of Norway. Oslo is a lively and very beautifully located city at the end of Oslofjorden with everything you could need: shopping, restaurants and cozy streets. Vigelandsparken, Aker brygge, Karl Johans gate and the castle are only a few example on sights you cannot miss!
