Troubadour at the dock

Sing with us this summer!

Join us and experience the Bohuslän folk music tradition! This summer, we will enjoy beautiful melodies on vocals and guitar from some of Strömstad’s talented musicians, troubadours, and songwriters. Come to the pier outside our boathouses and savor the late afternoon breeze on the dock, the scents of the sea, and some of our most beloved and well-known folk songs.

Our Troubadours

Fredrik Lundqvist is a folk singer/troubadour who performs in Strömstad and its surroundings during the summer. He plays the guitar, harmonica, and Swedish lute. His focus is on Swedish folk tradition (Taube, Cornelis, etc.) and traditional singer-songwriter music (Dylan, etc.) with an extensive repertoire in this area. Fredrik also does translations, compositions, and collaborates with other cultural actors in various ways.

When?

On the pier outside our boathouses, we will offer song and music on Wednesday evenings during the summer, in the old-fashioned Bohuslän spirit. Everyone is warmly welcome to come and listen, enjoy, and sing along to traditional Swedish songs.

This summer, we will enjoy melodies from Fredrik on the following dates: July 3th, July 10th, July 17th, July 24th, July  31th, August 7th.
